Do my friends need the app?

No. They open the link in any browser, type their name and tap what they had.

The app read something wrong.

Open the check and tap the pencil to fix a name or price, or add a missing line, before you share it.

Two people shared one dish.

Each of them taps “We shared it” on that line and the price splits evenly. Lines with a quantity, like 2 beers, split one per person.

How do friends pay me back?

Add a payment link or card number under “Name & payment details”. Friends see it next to their total and mark themselves as paid. CheckMates never handles money.

How long does a shared check stay online?

7 days. Then the link stops working and the check is deleted from our server. Your copy stays in My checks on your phone.

Is CheckMates free?

Yes. No account, no ads, no in-app purchases.
